Hi, my name is Ameen! I’m currently a Public Servant at a Government Statutory Board – and my current role involves analysis. Completing the EdUp Data Analytics course has taught me valuable skills and programming knowledge to streamline and improve my current workflow.

Why did you decide to learn Data Analytics at EdUp?

I was hoping to pick up skills that would help me professionally and can be applied in my area of work. Naturally, I chose a course in the most relevant field. In addition, I had been trying to pick up Python Programming by myself by watching e-learning videos but was not very successful. Hence, I enrolled in the Data Analytics course at EdUp.

My experience was a positive one. The structure of the course was flexible as well. There were a lot of course notes and videos sent to us, which we can refer to even after the course ended. There were daily quizzes to help recap what I have learned. The course was conducted online and technical support was provided promptly whenever we faced any software issues etc.

How has the course empowered you in your career journey?

My current role requires me to deal with large amounts of Data, and the skills I’ve picked up enable me to clean up large datasets easily so that I can spend more time analysing them.

From the course, I also learned that it was not necessary to memorise lines of code but merely to understand how the codes work, and besides, most of the codes are found open-sourced and online. Hence I am more confident with programming now.

If I could summarise my experience at EdUp in one word, it would be, Amazing!
