Completed Data Analytics & UX Design Courses
Hi! My name is Aaron. I did a career switch after completing EdUp’s Intro to User Experience Design and Data Analytics courses. I was previously in the IT Hardware industry and now I’ve successfully switched over to the IT Software industry.
Why did you choose to take up EdUp’s Data Analytics & Intro to UX Design courses?
I wanted to switch over to the software industry. However, without any relevant experience, it was difficult to find a suitable position in the field. So upskilling was essential to help me with my decision to do a career switch.
Share your learning experiences at EdUp with us.
The Data Analytics course was pretty fast-paced but I gathered good knowledge from the course. Through the course, I understood how coding works and this helped facilitate my learning in the relevant function.
The Intro to User Experience Design course is logic-based. I was able to see how UX is being applied practically around me in life, and this helped me understand UX/UI better from the users’ point of view.
How have the courses help you secure your current job role?
Taking up these courses made me realise first-hand how essential upskilling is when it comes to expanding one’s job-seeking chances. When employers see your commitment towards improving yourself, it shows something about your learning attitude and it will help greatly in securing one’s job as it did with mine.
The courses not only provided a platform for me to learn software development-related knowledge but also made my learning curve less steep. In my day-to-day job, I can better understand users’ needs in terms of the UI/UX (front end) as well as the coding (backend).
