Intro to User Experience Design Course
Hi, my name is Anthony! The EdUp UX Design course enabled me to clinch a 6-month design stint with Shopee after NS. Previously I was pursuing my degree at SMU and I have joined GovTech for as a Product Designer.
Why did you decide to take up the EdUp UX Design Course?
I wanted a course that allows me to gain hands-on experience and strong alumni connections to maximise my network in the tech industry. This was especially crucial for someone like me who had no formal design education. The EdUp UX Design Course is beginner-friendly and offers all of the above.
How has the course improved your UX Design knowledge?
I enjoyed how well-paced the lessons were, making them easy to digest what to do in each stage of the design-thinking process. The instructor even went out of his way to review our projects and provide invaluable feedback after lessons. He was clear in his explanation and imparted useful storyboarding & competitive audits skills that I still use to this day.
Do you think it’s important to upskill as a student?
Absolutely yes! GPA can only take you so far. Gaining some hard skills, especially ones that are in demand right now will definitely give you an edge when you are hunting for internships and even full-time jobs!

I remembered having lots of queries about paperwork and payments, especially since I was an NSF during the time I took up the course. However, the EdUp team was very patient in answering my queries – the whole application process was very smooth.
Even after completing the course, I remain in contact with my instructor and he has been ever so willing to answer any questions I have about UX and career progression despite his busy schedule!
